There are three categories of people who say negative things about EVs
and about Tesla.
1) Those entities who lose money as EVs increase in numbers, and since Tesla is the biggest reason for EVs increasing in number, Tesla is hated by these entities. I won't mention who these entities are (Big Oil, Big Auto, stock short-sellers), but they will do whatever they can to slow the adoption of EVs, even if this means more people will die from preventable auto accidents and preventable ill health conditions directly caused by tailpipe air pollution (PM2.5 particles).
2) The bought-and-paid-for minions who are influenced by Big Oil and Big Auto. Namely, the mainstream media, both consumer and business news. ExxonMobil and the other fossil fuel companies don't spend millions of dollars running ads on network television because of any return-on-investment; they do it to buy influence. So take what the MSM says with a grain of salt. Remember, there's no laws against lying when the lying is carefully crafted.
3) Those people who love to hate. These folks will latch onto the negative rhetoric about EVs and Tesla, and happily parrot whatever is said, honestly believing what they hear. They are unwitting minions of those who have a lot to lose from the mass adoption of EVs. These are the people who, if they see an EV, will "key" the car because of their hatred. (One of the advantages of the Tesla pickup truck is that it can't be keyed and instead will ruin the key. And if Sentry Mode and FSD are integrated, a Tesla can follow a person who committed vandalism to it so the police can have GPS coordinates they can use to take the person into custody, in addition to the video footage of the crime. Hey Elon, what'd yuh think? "Justice Mode"?)
And consider how the Model Y is doing in the largest car market in the world...
And this is what I will be doing with mine. Imagine, me being able to refuel my car when stopped overnight at an RV Campground. Like to see gasoline cars do that!
