Good News!

Back in 2019, car industry experts said there was "no way"
EV sales could reach 10% in just four years. They were wrong.

And at around 10-15%, the curve will head more north... exponential growth.

In the U.S., Tesla is way ahead of everyone else (top two bars), and yet, industry experts are saying that the competition is "eating Tesla's lunch". Obviously they are not. And with such a giant head start, and industry-leading engineers, programmers, and innovation, and a visionary CEO, Tesla will likely retain that lead going forward. There once was "the Big Three" automakers, and now there will be "the Big One".

And Tesla is also the worldwide leader in EV sales, and will likely remain so.
BTW, the Wuling Mini is a death trap on wheels, and could never be sold in the U.S.
But it's very inexpensive and yet is being outsold by the more expensive Teslas (3 and Y).

2022 GLOBAL AUTOMAKER RATING
From the International Council on Clean Transportation

Note that BYD's "market dominance" includes plug-in hybrids, and the sales of those are falling in favor of battery EVs
And all the laggards are Japanese automakers who thought that EVs would never catch on.

And then there's this bit of sweet news
The above chart that included the Wuling Mini was for EVs, but this one is for ALL vehicles!
